Instructions for Slushie Machine

Before pouring in any mixture, make sure the clear plastic vats are securely in place. They can be bumped out of position and cause the contents to leak out.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MIXING SYRUP:

Pour one 1/2 gallon jug of syrup in each side. Fill empty syrup jug up with cold water and empty four jugs of cold water into each side. This will make a total of 2 1/2 gallons of slushie per side. If adding alcohol, substitute 1 quart of liquor for 1 quart of water per side. Each side will make 40 eight ounce servings.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MIXING SHAKE SERVE:

Stir powder mix packet into a pitcher with 1/2 gallon of cold water. The amount of water used will change the thickness of the product. Less water will produce a thinner product, more water will produce a thicker product. Pour mixed content into one side of the machine. A full batch on each side will require two packets per side. Mix each packet with one half gallon of cold water. Each side (with full batch) will make approx 40, four ounce servings.

OPERATING THE MACHINE:

Plug machine directly into outlet. Extension cords must be at least 12 gauge. Turn on main power (upper left toggle switch), tun on refrigeration for one or both sides (snowflake setting double line), turn on auger for one or both sides (spin arrow single line). Temperature adjustment is located in the back of the machine. Adjust using the white thumb knobs. Setting indicator is located below the thumb knobs. Keep setting at 3-3 1/2. Colder settings may freeze up auger. If auger freezes, shut off power switch, turn down temperature setting, and restart after material has thawed sufficiently.

CLEAN UP AFTER USE:

Shut off machine and unplug. Let any remaining material completely thaw. Drain remaining liquid. Pour several pitchers of warm water through machine until material has been rinsed out. Do not disassemble machine.
